What began as an international expansion of a Dutch recruitment concept grew into an independent agency that helps Dutch companies succeed in Sweden. Meet Beyondo, founded by Karin and Guido, a duo that literally and figuratively speaks the language of both markets.
When Karin, born and raised in Sweden, got the chance to return to her home country with her family—after living and working in the Netherlands for twenty years—to set up Undutchables there, it felt like a unique opportunity. “I knew the culture, spoke the language, and had years of experience in recruitment and relationship management in the Netherlands,” she says. “It felt like coming home, but in a new professional context.”
The collaboration with Undutchables provided a solid foundation. “It was a valuable period in which we learned how the Dutch recruitment model translated to the Swedish market,” says Karin. “But we also discovered that you can’t always copy a formula one-to-one. Sweden requires a different approach—and that wasn’t a limitation, but rather an opportunity.”

A new step, in mutual agreement
After five successful years, a new opportunity arose to build something independent. In good consultation with Undutchables, Beyondo was born: an independent agency focused on guiding Dutch companies in their expansion to Sweden. “Undutchables has always supported this step,” Karin emphasises. “We’re still partners in supporting clients active in Sweden and vice versa.”
In this new phase, Karin’s husband Guido also joined. He brought his commercial experience from both the Netherlands and Sweden. “We saw that more and more Dutch companies were not only looking for international talent but specifically for local Swedish professionals,” Karin explains. “They wanted to know how to build a team in Sweden, how to find the right people, and how to avoid losing months to cultural differences or legal pitfalls.”
