We often get the question of how we, as recruiters, use AI in recruitment — and what we think about candidates using AI to craft their CVs.
Artificial intelligence is changing recruitment — fast, that is a fact.
Job ads are written in seconds, CVs summarised instantly, and workflows automated.
For many recruiters, this is exciting. For others, it’s overwhelming.
But one thing hasn’t changed at all:
People still want to feel seen.
They want clarity, honesty, and a human connection, not just a process.
In my work at Beyondo, this is the centre of everything I do.
And the truth is: staying personal and using AI are not opposites.
They actually work best together.
Recruitment isn’t about pushing CVs from A to B.
It’s about understanding people, motivations, expectations and context.
That’s why I aim to build long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.
This means:
When people feel respected and informed, they engage differently.
They trust the process. And trust leads to better decisions.
There is a lot of pressure in the industry to “scale”, automate and handle volume. I’ve chosen a different path. Beyondo is a small recruitment partner, which naturally makes the work more personal. It allows me to work deeper, not wider — with more attention on every assignment and every person. Instead of copy–paste recruitment, there is room to listen carefully and make thoughtful, long-term decisions.
This allows me to work in a way where there is:
It also reflects a simple truth:
A candidate can be a client. A client can be a candidate.
Everything is connected, and long-term relationships matter.
AI is a powerful tool — not a replacement for human judgment.
I use it daily inside RecruitCRM, and it frees up time for me to do what matters most:
Talk to people.
Here’s how it helps:
AI helps us create first versions of the written parts of recruitment, like job ads and outreach. Then the real work starts: we fact-check, adjust the tone, remove anything that feels off, and add the context only we have about the company, team and role. The final version should sound human, match the reality of the assignment, and feel like an honest invitation — not just a nice-looking text.
Structure reduces stress for both candidates and us.
A clear process feels safe, fair and transparent.
Every interaction has context, so conversations stay human and consistent.
We do our best to make sure candidates aren’t left wondering if something got lost. Timely, honest follow-up is a key part of how we build trust.
AI speeds up the technical part of recruitment, but I still manually review every match to avoid bias and maintain quality.
AI isn’t replacing my judgment — it’s supporting it.
Recruiters have been using ATS systems and Boolean searches for a long time, so this isn’t completely new. What has changed is that the tools have become more advanced and efficient, which means I can spend more time actually talking to people instead of only searching in systems.
There is also a difference between a simple keyword match and an AI-driven search. A keyword search looks for exact words in a CV, so you often need to use the precise terms from the job description. An AI search can be more sensitive and go deeper, picking up related skills, synonyms and context — not just exact matches.
But even with smarter tools, the human part of recruitment doesn’t go away. A system can suggest a match, but it cannot truly understand your story, your situation or your potential. That happens in conversations, in follow-ups, and in how I choose to treat people during the process — and that’s where I’m very intentional about staying personal and present.
We’re entering a world where efficiency alone isn’t enough. People want connection, they want clear communication, and they want to feel that someone truly understands their situation.
And this is where AI and personal recruitment work beautifully together:
This is not a future vision.
This is happening now.
The recruitment industry doesn’t need to choose between AI and humanity.
We need both.
With the right balance, we can offer a process that is efficient, clear and deeply personal.
And that’s what good recruitment has always been about.
